Committees and knowledge communities are open to any AIA Michigan member, at no extra cost and with no ballot to win.
Knowledge communities are organised around a specialty - health facilities, the environment, historic resources, housing. Committees run the component itself. Both are worth an hour a month and both are how people end up on the board.
